Schick Championships Day One

It’s the first day of the Schick Championships here in Palmerston North and we have 62 games of basketball taking place at Central Energy Trust Arena.

Sixty-two schools will grace the court in today’s play, with over 800 athletes plying their trade in front of family, friends, fans and scouts.

For everyone who plans to be watching the games in person, please be wary of the cost of admittance. The entry fees are as listed;

DAILY PASSES

  • $5 Adults per day (18 years and older)
  • $3 Child per day (all children 14 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult)
  • $15 Family per day (two adults and two children)
  • FREE Five years and under

WEEK PASSES

  • $20 Adult weekly pass
  • $15 Child weekly pass
  • $52 Family weekly pass (two adults and two children)

* The ‘A’ tournament is for schools that have a roll of less than 600 pupils for co-ed schools or less than 300 for single-gender schools. The ‘AA’ tournament is for schools with school roles over those figures.
