TEAM AUCKLAND STRUGGLE AT 3x3 WORLD TOUR
Team Auckland of Thomas Allen, Aaron Bailey-Nowell, Zach Easthope and Karl Noyer will return to New Zealand after two losses at the Chengdu leg of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour.

The team were representing their city after winning the 3x3 Quest Tour in Auckland earlier this year.

Their first game at the World Tour this weekend was against team Liman from Serbia, which they narrowly lost 19-21. Karl Noyer scored 9 of team Auckland’s points, with Aaron Bailey-Nowell and Zach Easthop scoring 5 each. As a team they made 50% of their shots in this game.

The team were then defeated later in the day by team Ljubljana from Slovenia, 16-21. Again the team from NZ struggled to sink their shots with a 40% conversion rate.

The eventual winner was team Novi Sad from Serbia.

This completes a tough tour for the team who were defeated at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup a week earlier.
